Election 2022 is just around the corner. Time to register to vote!

Inasmuch as you would like to access your records for voter registration online, this is not possible due to security reasons. COMELEC (Commission on Elections) still requires registrants to go to any of their branches nationwide. While there is no option to fully register online, you can help minimize the crowd by pre-registering.

This way, you will save time and effort since you will already cover the first half of the process. But there is no guarantee that the registration will be done quickly because the length of time for voter registration depends on the number of registrants who have an appointment on that specific date.

For online registration you can visit iRehistro via the COMELEC website. You can click this link to be redirected.

In the home screen of the website, you will have to choose one from the “Types of Application” panel. If you just turned 18 years old and you haven’t registered in COMELEC yet, tick the box for the option that says “Registration.”

There are other options to choose from in the type of application. Here is a short description of each to help you decide which box to tick:

Transfer of Registration. This option is for registered voters who have transferred residence within or outside the city/municipality. It is also for registered voters who transferred residence with deactivated registration status

Reactivation of Registration Record. This option is for registration renewal for the deactivated record of registered voters.

Change of Name due to Marriage or Court Order or Correction of Entries in the Voter’s Registration Record. Tick the box of this option if you are a registered voter who needs to make legal changes on their registration record due to marriage or typographical error.

Inclusion of Records in the Book of Voters or Reinstatement of Name in the List of Voters. This option is for registered voters whose names/records have been removed from the list of voters due to inactivity or other reasons deemed necessary.

After you choose an option in the “Type of Application” panel, the next steps are self-explanatory. The succeeding panels will ask for personal information, supplementary data, citizenship, and address.

After filling out the address information, a calendar will appear on your screen so you can set an appointment to go to any COMELEC office. This is not a required option. You can scroll down and click “I don’t want to set an appointment” if you would like a more flexible schedule.

The next step is to review the information that you provided by clicking on the option that says “show provided information details.” An information sheet will appear with an option to “proceed” or “edit” located at the lower right.

Once done, you will be redirected to the printable forms that you will need to bring with you when you go to the COMELEC office.
