Nagpahayag ang Malacañang na wala silang kinalaman sa impeachment complaint na inihain ng mga coalition ng mga civil society leader, sectoral representative at advocate laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte. 

“The impeachment complaint filed in the House of Representatives by several private citizens is clearly the complainants’ independent initiative, and its endorsement the prerogative of any Member of the House of Representatives,” ani Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa isang statement. 

Dagdag pa niya, nakasalalay sa House of Representatives kung ito’y ieendorso. “Wala rito ang kamay ng Office of the President.”

Nauna nang sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na hindi niya sinusuportahan ang impeachment kay Duterte dahil magiging “counterproductive” lamang ito at masasayang ang oras ng Kongreso. 

Isa mga reklamo ay inendorso ni Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña at binanggit ang mga isyu tulad ng graft and corruption, betrayal of public trust, at maling paggamit ng pondo sa Office of the Vice President at Department of Education.
