Following their respective defeats in the presidential and vice presidential race, running mates Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senate president Vicente “Tito” Sotto III have returned to their civilian lives.

On Facebook, Lacson’s son shared a video of his father harvesting root crops.

Lacson was first among the presidential candidates to concede to Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos’ lead last Monday.

In his concession speech, Lacson told reporters that he plans to enjoy his civilian life by going back to vegetable farming in his home province of Cavite, spending more time with his family and becoming healthier.

Either I go to Malacañang or I go home. If I go home, I want to regain my vanity. Napabayaan natin pati exercise. Tapos hindi makakain because of the campaign dahil takot kang kumain ng marami,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sotto’s Facebook posts depict him playing golf, which he stopped when he became Senate president.

I am going to work in lowering my (golf game) handicap. Currently, it’s hovering between 9 and 10. It used to be 3 to 5,” Sotto said of the sport.

A handicap is the number of strokes allowed to a player in a golf game, based on their skillset.
