Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista on Thursday designated lawyer Karen Lim as the officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Office for Transportation Security (OTS).
In a statement, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Lim has been given the post through Special Order No. 2022-116 dated July 1.
“Atty. Lim has been the OIC of the OTS Legal Service which is in charge of rendering legal advices, comments, and opinion; interprets laws and rules affecting the operation of the agency, and serves as the agency’s in-house counsel,” the statement read.
Under the order, it said Bautista directed Lim to “perform and discharge the functions and responsibilities” as OIC of the OTS until July 31 or until a replacement has been appointed or designated. (PNA)
