Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. is now under quarantine after he had close contact with some DFA officers who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
In a tweet, he said the main building of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) would be close until Tuesday (Feb. 2) when the test results of those exposed come out.
“Sadly I must (undergo) quarantine. I’m negative but the building and officers I met yesterday tested positive. We’re going into lockdown till Tuesday when we test again,” he wrote Thursday.
The DFA did not provide further details on the number of personnel infected in its office in Pasay City.
It, however, assured that contact tracing is ongoing.
“Contact tracing is ongoing, tests are being scheduled. We are just taking precautions to recent further spread,” it said. (PNA)
