Three-term senator and Deputy speaker Lorna Regina “Loren” Legarda topped the latest surveys by Pulse Asia and Social Weather Stations (SWS).
In the latest Pulse Asia Survey conducted from October 28 until November 1, Legarda earned 50%, which increased by 2.8% from rank 7 with 47.2% on the previous survey last September 20, 2021.
Meanwhile, in the SWS senatorial preferences survey on October 20-23, Hon. Loren Lagarda was stable in the number 4 slot which acquired 45% of the 1, 200 respondents.
In the 2007 elections, former senator Legarda recorded 62.7% of the senatorial votes which marks the highest percentage she has ever received within all the senatorial elections from 1998 to 2019.
As a three-term senator, Legarda promoted laws that serve as the government’s guidelines to and to be able to assist the people who have been affected by the pandemic.
Some of the bills Loren Legarda authored and co-authored are the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010 (RA 9994); the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act (RA 9262); the Anti-Child Labor Law (RA 9231); the Clean Air Act (RA 8749); the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 (RA 10121); the Kasambahay Law (RA 10361), and the Universal Healthcare Act (RA 10606), which are among other vital pieces of legislation.
