Operators and drivers of public utility vehicles (PUVs) may now secure a special permit to travel special routes during ‘Undas,’ or All Saints’ Day, in anticipation of the influx of travelers during the observance.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said interested PUV operators may visit any LTFRB office and bring the OR/CR of their PUV, a copy of their personal passenger insurance policy, and franchise verification.

“Hinihikayat ang mga PUV operators na mag-apply nang maaga upang makuha agad ang kanilang Special Permit at makapaghanda nang maaga para sa kanilang biyahe sa Undas (PUV operators are encouraged to apply early to get their special permit and be ready for their travel during Undas),” the LTFRB said.

In LTFRB offices, applicants may head to Window 6 or Technical Division for payment assessment, then go to Door B for payment, and to Window 8 to submit four copies of their application for a special permit with other documentary requirements.

“Pagkatapos ng ilang araw o bago ang ika-28 ng Oktubre, bumalik sa tanggapan ng LTFRB at dumiretso sa Information Systems Management Division (ISMD) upang kunin ang Special Permit (After a few days or before Oct. 28, head back to the LTFRB office and go straight to the ISMD to receive your special permit),” it said.

It reminded PUV drivers and operators to always follow its regulations and policies or face possible fines and penalties as stated in their Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC), special permit, and Joint Administrative Order No. 2014-01. (PNA)
