Partido Federal ng Pilipinos (PFP) presidential bet Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. reiterated that he will continue to support the program that brings peace, citing the initiative of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
Bongbong told in an interview during March 19 episode of “The Chatroom” aired in PTV-4, that rebels are help by the government. He added that, “Kaya nagrerebelde ‘yan kasi wala silang nararamdaman na tulong, na serbisyo galing sa gobyerno. Walang trabaho, walang future kumbaga.”
The presidential aspirant discussed that the NTF-ELCAC contributes together with other government agencies in bringing peace to rebel-infiltrated communities. Meanwhile, he also said that the program of this institution brings hopes and opportunities mentioning the decent housing units, livelihood programs, and investments.
According to Marcos, “Talagang andaming nagbalik-loob ng dahil dyan. Para sakin ‘pag kausap ko lalo na yung AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines), mga pulis—effective talaga.
Outgoing President Duterte in his pre-recorded Tak to the people aired Tuesday, expressed hopes that the next administration will continue to support the program of NTF-ELCAC. Duterte believed that the anti-insurgency initiatives will sustain peace in the country.
