Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon on Thursday ordered the local police to bring to justice those behind the killing of a village chief in the city.

In a statement, Biazon also ordered the city’s Operations Center to review the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the city to help identify those behind the crime.

“Walang puwang ang karahasan sa Muntinlupa; kinokondena ko ang karumal-dumal na pagpaslang kay Kap. Kaok Loresca. Hindi po natin titigilan ito hanggang makamit ang hustisya (Violence has no place in Muntinlupa. I condemn the brutal murder of chairperson Kaok Loresca. We will not stop until we get justice),” he said.

Biazon also condoled with the bereaved family of the victim.

In a report, the Muntinlupa City Police said Barangay Buli chairperson Ronaldo “Kaok” Loresca was shot by two unidentified persons in front of a sneakers and apparel store along Manuel L. Quezon Street in the village at about 10:16 p.m. on Wednesday.

The motorcycle-riding assailants fled towards Sucat after the incident.

A witness said one of the suspects was wearing a shirt bearing the logo of the ride-hailing app JoyRide while the other was wearing a black shirt.

The victim was taken to the Asian Hospital but later succumbed to his gunshot wounds. (PNA)
