Idiniin ni Senador Imee Marcos na hindi dapat binabalewala ang kaligtasan ni Vice President Sara Duterte at dapat bigyan ng pinakamataas na prayoridad ang kaligtasan nito.

Sa isang pahayag sa social media, inihayag niya ang pag-aalala at hinihiling ang agarang pagbabalik ng police security ni Duterte, na kamakailan ay nabasan ng 75 na kapulisan matapos na i-reassign ni Philippine National Police (pnp_ chief Police General Rommel Marbil ang mga ito sa Metro Manila upang mapalakas umano ang peace and order efforts ng PNP.

“VP Sara Z. Duterte should have her security detail back ASAP,” ani Marcos.

Binigyang-diin din niya na ang bise presidente ay hindi lamang pangalawang pinakamataas na opisyal sa gobyerno kundi numero uno umano sa listahan ng mga target ng rebelde.

“First, she is the 2nd highest elected official in the country whose safety must never be compromised. Second, she is a Duterte, who, like her father, is a staunch defender of law and order, hence topping the CPP-NPA’s order of battle,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas na tinutukoy ang Communist Party of the Philippines-National People’s Army.

Hindi rin niya pinalampas ang desisyon ni Marbil na alisin ang ilang security detail ni Duterte.

“At sino naman yang Rommel Marbil? Ni hindi ko nga yan kilala,” pasaring pa ni Marcos.

Matatandaang pinaratangan ng pangalawang pangulo si Marbil na nagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon tungkol sa mga binawing security personnel ng Office of the Vice President. Aniya, maayos na sana ang kanyang kampo dahil tanggap naman niya ang pagbawi sa mga PNP personnel bilang kanyang security team ngunit sumobra na umano ang mga sinasabi ni Marbil.
