Newly installed Police Regional Office – 4B (PRO – Mimaropa) chief Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada vowed to continue the legacy of excellence set by his predecessors as he formally assumed the post on Saturday.

Quesada said he is committed to continuing the key policies set by officials who came before him, such as the strict implementation of practical programs for crime prevention and suppression, the intensified campaign against illegal drugs, and internal cleansing, among ranks.

He is the 19th Mimaropa chief, replacing Brig. Gen. Joel Doria who had reached the mandatory retirement age of 56.

“My primary focus is on proactive and intensified efforts to enhance regional security. Under my leadership, we will prioritize a comprehensive approach, emphasizing reform and leadership with quality,” Quesada said in a statement.

“We will work collaboratively with the stakeholders to ensure responsible law enforcement, foster cooperation among team members, and build trust with the public we serve.”

Quesada stressed the crucial impact of unity in achieving success, urging the unwavering support of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the region.

“I urge your wholehearted support, emphasizing unity as the cornerstone of our success. Diligence, discipline, and professionalism are paramount in executing our duties, reflecting not just on ourselves but on the values of our organization,” he said.

Quesada, a graduate of PNP Academy Class of 1992, also served as the chief of the Firearms and Explosives Office, Deputy Regional Director for Administration in PRO-Bicol, Deputy Regional Director for Operations in Caraga and Regional Chief of Directorial Staff in Mimaropa. (PNA)
