Twenty-one persons were arrested during anti-illegal drugs and criminality operations in Quezon City in the past 24 hours.
In a statement on Sunday, Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief, said six drug suspects were nabbed and PHP787,960 worth of shabu and marijuana was seized in a series of buy-bust operations on Saturday.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In the all-out campaign against illegal gambling, QCPD operatives also apprehended three wanted persons and 12 individuals.
The respective courts of origin of the warrants will be notified regarding the arrests of the accused.
Torre commended his men for their continuous accomplishments.
“Rest assured that QCPD will intensify its anti-criminality operations to maintain peace and order, safety and security in the city,” he said. (PNA)
