Rep. Reyes Sa NGCP: Siguraduhin Ang Sapat Na Suplay Ng Kuryente Sa Tag-Init

Pinaalalahanan ni Anakalusugan Party-list Representative Ray Reyes ang National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) na siguruhin na magbibigay ito ng sapat na suplay ng kuryente para siguruhin ang kalidad ng operasyon sa mga health facility ngayong tag-init.

Ito ay matapos maglabas ng babala ang NGCP na may posibleng power interruption ngayong tag-init.

“We urge the NGCP to make sure that we have adequate power supply all throughout the summer season when demand is at its highest,” ani Reyes.

“Hospital patients’ lives are on the line and we need to ensure that the quality of operations in our medical facilities will not be affected,” dagdag niya.

Iginiit din ng mambabatas ang papel ng NGCP sa transition ng bansa sa green energy. Dagdag niya na ang paggamit ng kuryente ay madalas na pinakamataas sa tag-init.

Ayon sa datos ng Department of Energy, ang demand sa kuryente ay maaaring umabot ng 13,125 MW.

Sinabi rin ni Reyes sa NGCP na bilisan ang backlog sa suplay ng green energy bilang matatag at mas murang suplay ng kuryente para sa mga konsyumer.

“NGCP has the power to make it easier for renewable energy technologies to make it into the grid,” aniya.

“We need to finish more projects that will ensure sufficient and cheaper energy supply,”  dagdag ni Reyes.
