Bohol 3rd District Representative Alexie Besas Tutor has given updates on the proposed House Bill 4723, which will expand the bed capacity of the Candijay Community Hospital from 10 to 50.
According to Tutor, the proposed bill will improve health services for Boholanos around the town of Candijay amid the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“The DOH Regional Office and the Hospital Chief of the Candijay Community Hospital both support the passage of HB 4723 into law,” she penned in a statement.
HB 4723 was approved by the House Committee on Health last November 17. Tutor hopes that the bill will advance to second and third reading in early 2021.
Bohol is set to reopen its doors to tourists on December 15. A day before its resumption, Governor Arthur Yap reported that the province has 69 active cases, 600 recoveries, and around 15 fatalities.
