With majority of the country counting down the seconds to the highly anticipated 12.12 online sale, Misamis Oriental 2nd District Representative Juliette Uy advises that consumers should take this opportunity to count their blessings instead.
In a statement, Uy shared various ways on how Filipinos can celebrate Christmas without the extravagance.
The country was wreaked havoc after the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic hit the country. On top of that were the four consecutive typhoons that hit the country from October to November.
Right now, the country is still working towards an economic revival.
Uy also urged everyone to help communities that are still reeling from the aftermath of the Taal Volcano eruption which happened in January.
“It is a perfect time for us now to count our blessings,” said Uy. “Celebrate the gift of life and love in these trying times.”
“Our love of God and love for each other will see us through,” Uy ended.
