Senator Christopher “Bong” Go advised his fellow Filipinos to get vaccinated considering that vaccination serves as the best defense against COVID-19, as well as taking booster shots.
Go encouraged the public to go to their nearest vaccination centers in their areas. “Sa mga hindi pa nababakunahan pero kuwalipikado naman, magpabakuna na kayo sa pinakamalapit na vaccination center sa inyong lugar,” Go said last Monday.
The lawmaker also urged the public to get booster shots if they are qualified as it will give additional protection against those who are infected by the virus and other COVID-19 varaints.
Go emphasized.
The Department of Health recorded 37,154 new cases on Sunday that is considered as a record-high this year.
According to the recent study of Ragon Institute of Massachusetts General Hospital, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University, an additional dose of mRNA- based vaccine can provide immunity against the Omicron variant.
Go mentioned that herd immunity will only be possible when everyone cooperates with the government’s COVID-19 guidelines. He even added that doing so will also decrease the risk of spreading the virus which can only happen when everyone follows the minimum health protocols.
Go said.
