Hindi na miyembro ng lima sa pinakamakapangyarihang komite ng House of Representatives si SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta matapos nitong suportahan si Vice President Sara Duterte sa 2025 General Appropriations Bill.

Tinanggal si Marcoleta sa Commission on Appointments, Energy, Justice, Public Accounts, at Constitutional Amendments. Papalitan naman siya ni Manila Rep. Virginia Lacson ng Teachers party-list group.

Kamakailan lamang, tinanggal na rin si Marcoleta bilang vice chairman ng Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.

Ang anunsyo ay ginawa sa plenaryo noong Miyerkules ng gabi, na pinangunahan ni Cebu Rep. Vincent Franco Frasco.

Sinabi ni Marcoleta na tinanggal siya sa mga nasabing committees bago mag-adjourn ang House para sa isang break.

“This is the price I have to pay for upholding established rules and for consistently adhering to the principles that the House of the people stand and fight for,” saad niya.
