Now anyone can download a mobile application to avail of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (TESDA) online courses, the agency announced Thursday.
Users simply need to type “TESDA Online Program” on Google Play or App Store. This is different from the TESDA app launched in 2019, as the latter contains general information about TESDA; training programs available; addresses of registered training centers; regional and provincial offices directory; among others.
The newly introduced app contains 141 online courses. Some of these courses like the Food Processing NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II were integrated with screen-reading capabilities, Filipino sign language, and audio narration.
According to TESDA, enrollees can still use the app even if they are offline, and the progress will be synced when they have internet access.
All the courses in the app can also be viewed through the website, https://e-tesda.gov.ph/.
Enrollees receive an electronic certificate of completion when they finish a course. Those who complete courses for full qualifications can undergo a competency assessment and receive a National Certificate.
As of May, 316,119 have registered in the TESDA Online Program, the agency said. (PNA)
