Umapela! Hontiveros Hinimok Si PBBM Na Bawiin Ang Pagtalaga Kay Gadon

Hinimok ni Senador Risa Hontiveros si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong”  Marcos Jr. na muling pag-isipan ang pagtatalaga sa bagong anti-poverty adviser na si Larry Gadon matapos itong madisbarred sa abogasya.

“I ask the President to reconsider the appointment of Larry Gadon. Not only was he disbarred, he was also cited in direct contempt by the Supreme Court (SC) voting 15-0. A disgraced former attorney does not inspire confidence in the Cabinet,” pahayag niya sa social media. 

Ayon kay Hontiveros, wala na ngang titulo, wala pang kadalubhasaan si Gadon para ipaglaban ang pagkatalaga niya sa posisyon. 

“This will be a slap in the face for our legal professionals, and yet another black eye on good governance so early on in the current administration,” giit pa niya.

Naglabas naman ng sagot si Gadon ukol sa pahayag ng mambabatas.

“Ang sagot ko diyan, mag-presidente muna siya para siya magkaroon siya ng power to appoint and remove officials,” aniya.

Ayon pa kay Gadon, “too harsh” umano ang parusa ng SC laban sa kanila at nagbabalak itong maghain ng motion for reconsideration sa korte. 

Noong lunes, Hunyo 26 isinapubliko ng Malacañang ang pagtalaga kay Gadon bilang Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation. At noong miyerkules naman, Hunyo 28, inanunsiyo ng Korte Suprema ang disbarment ni Gadon bunga ng kaniyang pagmumura sa isang mamamahayag na kanilang kinokonsiderang “indisputably scandalous,” sinundan pa nila ito na walang lugar ang misogyny at sexism sa pagsasanay ng batas.
