VP Leni Inspects More Towns In Bicol After ‘Rolly’ Onslaught

Vice President Leni Robredo visited Brgy. Sabang in the town of San Jose, as she went around Camarines Sur on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, following the onslaught of Super Typhoon Rolly. She was accompanied by Mayor Marco Chavez and other local officials.

Brgy. Sabang, one of the pilot areas of the OVP’s Community Learning Hub initiative, is a coastal community where many houses along the coastline were totally damaged due to the typhoon. There is still no electricity or mobile signal in the area. Despite this, the hub will resume its operations next week, to continue assisting learners in the barangay amid the shift to distance learning.

The OVP also brought relief assistance to affected families there.

Relief assistance in Bula, Camarines Sur

Vice President Leni Robredo also went to the town of Bula in Camarines Sur, for her series of visits to areas affected by Super Typhoon Rolly on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020. She was accompanied by Vice Mayor Totoy Malonyaon and other local officials.

Parts of the community visited by the Vice President, Brgy. San Jose, is still flooded days after the typhoon barreled through the Bicol Region. There is currently no electricity and little to no mobile signal.

The OVP also brought relief assistance for affected families there.
