Spokesperson of Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo identified the alleged sex video of Aira Robredo as a malicious fabrication, citing it as a move to distract the campaign of Robredo in the coming May 9 polls.
Ibarra Gutierrez released a statement on Monday and their camp will make legal action against the said video circulating on social media.
Gutierrez said, “This is a malicious fabrication and we have reported it to the platforms concerned to have it taken down. Our lawyers are studying our options for legal action.
The spokesperson believed that this move is a distraction to trouble among Robredo’s supporters and use to prevent the voters from converting more people to support Leni’s candidacy.
“Kaya nga ang tamang response dito: Hold the line tayo para sa pag-ibig. Be firm but kind sa pagtatama ng disinformation, kahit gaano kawalanghiya,” he stated.
Gutierrez believed that this malicious attack is a crime. He mentioned that for us to stop this kind of system, we must win in the coming election and make they liable for spreading the disinformation.
However, despite the attacks , Aika Robredo is still focused on the campaign, stressing that the best antidote to fake news in the truth.
“Let us not lose focus. Let us continue doing good. This is how I survived for last six year,” Aika posted on her Twitter account.
