‘WAG NAMANG KILLJOY? PNP, Paniwalain Sa Pahayag ni Digong?

Tinawanan lang ni former presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo ang posibilidad na makasuhan si dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa kanyang pahayag kung saan nagtatago si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Aniya, klarong biro lamang ito ni Digong at hindi na dapat pang pahabain pa.

Sa kanyang opisyal na pahayag, sinabi ni Panelo na KJ lang ang Philippine National Police (PNP) at tila nag-overreact lang dahil halata naman na walang kinalaman si Digong kung saan man matatagpuan ang kinaroroonan ni Quiboloy.

“The statement of FPRRD… is at best a joke, for which he is known for, or pulling the leg of the inquiring reporter. It was intended for the reporters to laugh. […] Apparently, the Chief PNP is a humorless person and can not decipher a joke or a jest defined as ‘a brief oral narrative with climactic humorous twist.”

Dagdag pa ni Panelo, walang sapat na ebidensya ang PNP kung kakasuhan man nila ang dating pangulo dahil hindi sapat na pruweba ang sinabi ni Digong sa isang press conference para sampahan siya ng kaso.

“There is no proof proffered by the PNP that FPRRD committed a prior or subsequent positive act of concealing or harboring Pastor Quiboloy or preventing the law enforcement agencies from arresting the KOJC head, or assisting or helping him in his escape.”

Matatandaang kamakailan lamang ay tinanong si Digong tungkol sa kinaroroonan ni Quiboloy. Ayon sa kanya, alam niya kung nasaan ang pastor ngunit hindi niya sasabihin – isang pahayag na naging palaisipan hindi lang sa taumbayan kundi sa mga awtoridad.

Si Quiboloy ay mahigit-kumulang dalawang buwan nang pinaghahanap ng mga awtoridad dahil sa kanyang mga haharaping kaso tulad ng child abuse, human trafficking, at exploitation.
